Last updated: May 25, 2026
This policy explains what data Trust The Space collects when you visit our site, how we use it, and your rights. We collect minimal data and do not sell your personal information to anyone.
1. Who We Are
Trust The Space ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at trustthe.space. We publish editorial content and earn commissions when readers purchase products we recommend through affiliate links. For questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@trustthe.space.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect two categories of data:
- Technical data collected automatically: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard web server log data.
- Tracking parameters from your URL: If you arrive via a Google Ad, we collect the click identifier (gclid, gbraid, or wbraid) and any UTM campaign parameters in your URL. These are used solely to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information. We do not run forms that collect personal details. We do not process payment information.
3. Cookies
We set one first-party cookie:
- tts_sid — a randomly generated session identifier. It contains no personal information. It persists for 90 days and is used to connect your page visit to any subsequent purchase, so we can accurately attribute our advertising performance. It is an HttpOnly, Secure cookie and cannot be read by third-party scripts.
We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, or any third-party tracking scripts on our editorial pages.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To measure whether visitors who clicked our Google Ads later made a purchase (offline conversion tracking)
- To improve our content and understand which articles are useful
- To detect and prevent fraudulent traffic or abuse of our systems
We do not use your data for profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose other than those listed above.
5. Third Parties We Share Data With
We share limited, anonymised data with the following services:
- Google Ads: We upload conversion data (click ID + conversion timestamp + value) to Google Ads to measure our ad performance. No personally identifiable information is included.
- ClickBank: If you click one of our affiliate links, you are directed to ClickBank's platform. ClickBank operates under its own privacy policy. We receive a notification confirming whether a purchase was made, along with the tracking ID we assigned to your session.
- Hetzner Online GmbH: Our hosting provider stores server logs on infrastructure located in the European Union.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any other party.
6. Data Retention
- Session records: retained for up to 24 months, then deleted
- Conversion records: retained for up to 5 years for accounting purposes
